Photographing children 8 years and younger

POTTER FAMILY

2018 GOALS

Merry Christmas!

2017 FLEW by for us this year, the old cliche rings truer each year for me.  Thank you all for continuing to support my art and documentary work!  Johnson Photography started out 6 years ago as a hobby, an occasional outlet for me to express my vision in capturing stills, and over the past two years especially it has grown into a much larger business that I had even dreamed.

As most of you know, I am a hairstylist of 22 years now (geeze a loo that sounds impossible to me) and I work 10 hour days, doing hair and owning my own salon.  I am grateful that my second love of photography has grown but as many of you I'm sure well noticed this year, I can't continue to do both jobs as I have been and produce my best results.  No, I'm not quitting hair or photography, but 2018 is going to have some changes for me to better balance both professions that I love equally.

For SE7EN DAY SPA that means cutting back a few hours a week so that I can keep up with the editing load, and for JOHNSON PHOTOGRAPHY, I should still be able to see all of my families in a year's time, I just will have to spread them out more and not shoot more than  2 full sessions per week.

I'm excited to see the photography business grow, it's such a passion of mine working with small children, especially documenting their lives inside the home, which I hope to do even more of in the upcoming years.

Another change for JP in 2018 is  digital download.  Now once your session is edited, I will send you a link with a passcode that will allow you to instantly download the full resolution images to your computer or device with no waiting for snail mail.  Your print release will be mailed to you as always.

Prices will stay the same for 2018, however I do plan to offer a new 'Monochromatic Package' as an add on that I'm super excited about.  Black and Whites are some of my favorite edits, and with the right images, monochromatic conversions can elevate a photo  to a whole other level of art.

Full package sessions will also be receiving something a little extra along with their print release in 2018, a gift card for Vandalia Donut Co, a new local business started by friends of mine The Woody's, they make incredible homemade donuts with gourmet toppings and farm to 'camper' values and ingredients.  WIN WIN!

Thank you again for your support, I can't wait to document your children's lives in the upcoming year!
